I haven't had much time to get out my paints due to a lot of appointments lately. I have mainly been sketching and getting some ideas onto paper. I hope to scan a few and get them up on here in a few days.
Anyway, I just thought I would quickly share with you a mixed media piece in progress that I was working on a couple of weeks ago. I haven't yet been able to finish and was almost about to give up on it until I received some kind feedback about it from my family who was over visiting today.

I have been wanting to try a mermaid painting for a while now. I still have to do more work to it and add a few little fishes (as my Brother Beau suggested).

very happy looking mermaid :) a few more fishes might look nice, and adding the sea floor helps ground her to something :)
i LOVE mermaids and, like i told you yesterday, this one is BEAUTIFUL!! i love the colour combo too. some fishies would add a nice touch....i can hardly wait to see it finished.

You might want to add some glitter to her tail too. A girl must have some Bling as they say here in the USA! :)
