Hi everyone! This week I thought I would share with you a couple of photos from my little balcony garden. I started my herb garden just after Christmas when my Mum gave me some herbs and pots for my Christmas present. I was so excited because I really wanted it and was even more surprised because she really spoiled me with a lot of them.
I have tried my best to keep them all alive and although a couple have sadley passed away I have managged to keep most of them alive. About a week ago we had non-stop rain and they have just taken off. I love my herbs but I just wish I was a bit better with gardening. I would love to grow heaps more plants and flowers but at the moment I don't have a lot of space to work with living in an apartment. Hopefully one day I will have my very own back yard to work with.

Tell your partner to take care of the Bonsai trees. They are too lovely to see them die.:)
What a wonderful garden! I've never had luck with herbs- they always get pests and die. You have taken a small space and truly made a garden of it!
Plants love that rain water, don't they? I always have a bucket sitting under a drain pipe to collect rain water that I can use to water my plants in between rains. Plants just seem to do so much better with rain water instead of tap water.

Makes me wish I had a Herb garden, but I don't have room for much in this crappy yard (: I'll be growiing my tomatoes in one of those upside down things.

Linda - My plants do seem to like the rain water better then the tap water. I think maybe because tap water is filtered. Thats a good idea about putting a bucket in the rain to water my plants with.
Jennifer - The cacti seems to take care of itself. I think maybe cause Queensland has such hot weather they must grow well.
Maria - I dont mind cooking although I'm not great at it.My back injury causes me a lot of problems in the kitchen which is annoying.

Vee - Lol, don't worry I tell him all the time to do something about them. They do need a bit of a trim though :)
