PENDANTS, A NEW ART PIECE AND AN AWARD

Hi everyone,

I have been trying hard to get some new stuff done in my art room this week. I just thought I would pop on and show you what exactly I have been up to.

First of all I have finally started making some art pendants with prints of my own artwork. I really like how they have turned out, but I want to get in and paint some more paintings to give me a bit more of a variety.

Here is one of the pendants I made.

I have signed the back and it is completely sealed.

I am having a bit of difficulty getting good photos of them all. The sun keeps going behind clouds today and taking away my natural lighting. So I can't put them up on Etsy just yet :(

--------------------------

I am also trying out a new style of blending and painting at the moment. I am trying to loosen up a bit with my strokes. Which is pretty hard cause I am such a perfectionist.

What do you think?

--------------------------

I was given this award by Shelley Szczucki at The Charming Place. Thank you so much Shelly for this wonderful award :)

Now I have to tell 7 facts about myself and then pass it on to 7 people. So here goes -

1. I love the Twilight book series.
2. I love listening to music while I paint.
3. I am loving the new series of 'Glee' on TV (all the single ladies, all the single ladies, put you hands up. LOL, too funny!).
4. I would love to go caravaning around Australia one day with my partner Alex.
5. I love the beach.
6. I am 5'6" tall.
7. I drive a Holden Barina hatch back.

the seven people I will pass it onto are -

1. Melissa
2. Serena Lewis
3. Micki Wilde
4. Genie Sea
5. The peanut butter bandit
6. Micah Holden
7. Autumn Davidson

the pendant look good, and the addition of an flower makes the photo stand out :)

the new style is looking good, maybe try not to use so much black. tends to wash out areas and make things look too dark :)

Hi Michelle, so pleased you had that rotten tooth taken out. Thew!
So nice to see you creating your beautiful art again.
It is so hard to loosen up, I get this way too. Your angel looks lovely and you certainly create both styles wonderfully!

Thanks Val, they are pretty fun to make. I can't wait for it to arrive, I am so excited :)

Thanks Micki, no worries :)

Thanks Micah, glad you are happy.

Thanks Genie, no worries I wouldn't take offence anyway. I know not everyone has time to do them :)

Thanks Annette, I am getting there and feeling really good about my art at the moment.

Thanks Jennifer, I am trying to go for a more dramatic style which is why I am using a lot more of the black. Just teaching myself at the moment.

Thanks heaps Melissa, and I'm glad you liked the award.

Thanks Charmaine :)

Thanks Mum, I feel I am getting a lot better with blending and shading. Hopefully one day I will be as good as you.

Thanks Julie-ann, it is actually your angel's that keep inspireing me all the time. I am glad I finaly got the tooth taken out too.

Thanks Norma :)

Thanks Judi, I would love to show you how to make them. I am actually going to make a tuturial and post it on my blog hopefully this week.

Thanks Kerry :)

Lovely pendant Michelle! And I know the struggle you have with 'loosening up with strokes' because I have the same issue. I wish I could take a live and in person seminar with someone so they could REALLY show me how to let go sometimes. Your new girl is fabulous!
Thanks for visiting today:)

The pendants are beautiful!!!! Do you have one of the blode girl with the head band and the butterflies- it would be fabulous for my neice? I too love that you are always exprimenting it is inspirational. Speaking of which a month or two ago I mentioned that I liked the use of black as the background colour and that I was going to try that technique out one some of the pieces I was working on. Well I am please to say that I have and I am really happy with how they are coming along. They are nearly finished- will let you know when they are done. Keep pushing those Kre8ive boundries.

Thank you for the award!!! You made my day--it's my first. :-) And your art makes for absolutely charming jewelry! And (I can't believe I'm putting this in writing!) I have an unhealthy love of Twilight. (except for the last book, I was one unhappy camper with that one...)
