Here is another painting I have just finished today. I am really liking painting on the black background and using the black as the outline. I think it really high lights areas. I also like using the technique of gluing tissue paper onto the canvas to give it texture and movement.

This is very striking, lovely work!! I have recently started painting onto a black background and it's amazing how it makes you approach things differently. I've haven't tried tissue paper on canvas though what a great idea!!

She's GORGEOUS! The colours are very effective. I like that the highlighted area on the cheeks and chin seem to form a heart ~ :)

Lovely painting, Michelle! Muberry tissue paper is my favortite thing to use for texture.
Thats a lovely painting. A bit different than your normal style but I like it very much.
